I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Monitor Elementary and to my Kindergarten Class. As your child begins his/her first year of schooling, you should be relieved to know that we at Monitor are committed to you and your child’s continued success during the upcoming year and years to come! Although we are dedicated to ensuring your child’s success, you are the most important person in your child’s life. Children love to share experiences

with their parents and thrive on their parents pride and approval. A partnership with you is

essential in giving your child the skills they need to meet the challenges in life. I am

inviting you to team with me so that your child’s Kindergarten experience will be a

positive one as they become “Wild About Learning” during the 2008-2009 school year.

I am so excited to meet my new students and to guide them throughout their learning and growing this year. In the beginning of the school year we will be getting acquainted with our school, our new friends, and the routines and rules needed to maintain a fun and safe place for your child to learn each and every day. Meet Your Teacher

Hello, my name is Lynesia Preyan. I was born and raised in New Orleans, La. I was displaced to Northwest Arkansas in 2005 and I have fallen in love with the area. I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education. I am currently in the process of completing my ESL endorsement and completing a PhD in Public Policy with Specialization in Education Policy from the University of Arkansas. As you can see, I love learning and I also love teaching. This will be my second year working at Monitor and teaching Kindergarten. In the past I have had experience working with 2^nd and 4^th grade in addition to Kindergarten. I like to think that I have a calling to the greatest profession in the world and I enjoy every minute of it.
